Data visualization
Exchange volume data arrives as spreadsheets — dozens of series across products, venues and time periods, published on a fixed quarterly and weekly cadence. The job is to turn that into something a trader, a journalist or a client can read in under a minute and take away one clear conclusion from.
I set the visual grammar the reports are built to: a consistent chart vocabulary across bar, line, donut and pictograph, a fixed color logic where blue carries volume and orange carries open interest, and callout treatments for records and year-on-year moves. Because the system is defined rather than improvised each cycle, the same rules produce a large-format print sheet, a web graphic and a phone-sized wrap without redrawing the approach.
